Toronto Island Wedding by A Simple Photograph

Some of the sweetest affairs that come across our desk are those hand-crafted weddings personalized so lovingly by the Bride and Groom. That is a total home-run in our books and this Toronto Island wedding captured by A Simple Photograph just hit it out of the park. From the intimate ceremony to the ferry ride with 15 guests in-tow, this wedding proves that sometimes the best things come in small packages. See this small albeit insanely beautiful wedding all right here.

Sarah and Andrew were married on Thursday June 16th in a sweet little ceremony on the very bohemian, Toronto Island.

This event was a DIY affair and because everything for the wedding needed to be carried over on the Ferry the morning of the wedding, Sarah had to make it compact! In fact she managed to decorate her entire event with ONLY the items that fit into one hand bag and one shoe box! Sarah handcrafted most of the details herself including, hand embroidered bride and groom signs, a hand painted just married banner, the vows were printed on vintage postcards and Sarah embroidered their monogram and wedding date into the hem of her dress. The wedding vehicles consisted of the Toronto Island Ferry Service and the park tram which comfortably carried all 15 guests to the park where they held their intimate Humanist ceremony. We spent the afternoon on the island riding bikes and exploring along the river lined with rustic old houseboats before eventually returning to civilization on the later afternoon Ferry.
