From Karen Hill PhotographyHajin and Michael were married on June 18, 2011 in NYC. They dressed at the Mark Hotel and met for their first look in the hotel penthouse! Afterwards we all walked over to Central Park for photos before heading to the First Presbyterian Church. A chorus of friends sang to them while family and friends looked on. The couple are Korean and towards the end of the ceremony incorporating a Korean tradition, they bowed to their parents. At the end of the ceremony, everyone, all 120 guests, gathered for a group shot on the alter.

The reception was held at the Harold Pratt House, a historic town house, (which is an amazing venue for a city wedding!). The couple danced their first dance before they and their guests headed up stairs for dinner. The bride changed into a party dress and all the guests moved into the library for a flash dance performance by the bride, groom and bridal party who danced to Summer Love from the movie soundtrack Grease, and cake cutting. The groom sang a song to the bride by Depeche Mode called, Somebody. Then the bride and groom sang together while the brides’ mother played piano. The celebration continued downstairs where guests were treated to a dessert bar (and a photobooth!), while the couple changed into their Korean ceremony costumes. This was an amazing day to share and photograph!
