There is something so wildly refreshing and romantic about this bohemian inspiration shoot by The LANE Event Styling. I love the way the bride and groom gaze so sweetly at each other, her flowing, delicate dresses and beautifully crafted headpieces, the white wicker furniture against the crystal clear ocean waters and the overall lighthearted and whimsical feeling. From The LANE Event Styling...There’s nothing more romantic than a Summer afternoon wedding held by the sea at a secluded beach. There’s such a calming, nostalgic energy about the ocean and I wanted this shoot in Byron Bay to really capture those feelings, with styling that looked effortless and complimented the space & the couple, as opposed to ‘proppy’, over-styled decor that I feel has given beach weddings a bit of a bad name.
This shoot tells the story of a bohemian romance and private commitment ceremony held on a secluded beach in Byron Bay, NSW. I wanted to capture the free-spirited mood of the 70's, and drew inspiration from nature, fire, music, art and sun-drenched afternoons in Australia.
I was dreaming of a small, intimate wedding celebrated barefoot on the sand; a vibrant beach celebration with guests lazed on over-sized cushions at picnic-style tables, indulging in beautiful food, red wine & toasted marshmallows around a fire at dusk.
