From Jackie Schneider Beauty…From weddings and events, to pin-up, to editorial and headshots, any opportunity to help transform someone’s look (however subtle or extreme), is an exciting prospect for me. I love getting to know my clients and take extra time with each of you to make sure you’re comfortable. My bridal consultations are extremely thorough and personalized. However long it takes, I work with clients until they feel confident and comfortable so that they go into their big day without any stress about beauty services.
Though I started playing with my mom’s makeup as a kid and haven’t put the brushes down since, it’s taken me a while to figure out that my beauty skills could be more than a passion I pursued on the side. I received a BA in English at Cornell University and an MA in Journalism at NYU. I’ve worked as an editor, researcher and fact-checker for several top glossy magazines (In Style, Harper’s Bazaar, House & Garden, Shape, to name a few), but I spent my weekends building Jackie Schneider Beauty and taking makeup jobs. In Fall of 2010, I decided to pursue the beauty biz full-time, and enrolled in ARROJO Cosmetology School run by the “What Not to Wear” television hair guru Nick Arrojo.
