Vintage Arizona Wedding by Rust & Lace

If you are a lover of shabby chic then this Arizona wedding will certainly be your vintage cup of tea.  It is bursting with an awesome collection of vintage furniture and decor from Rust & Lace.  Every nook and cranny is styled perfectly with doilies, mirrored trays, chandeliers and mismatched vintage plates.  I love the sweet, personal touches like the antique brooch bouquet hand-crafted by the bride’s mother and the fun vintage truck that acted as the gift table donated by the groom’s family.  Click here to see all the fun details!

From Rust & LacePeyton and Preston were set up by their parents who had been long time friends and decided life could only get better if their son and daughter thought as much of each other as they did of each other as friends. After dating off and on for while the pair decided they couldn’t live without each other and decided to make it official after Preston popped the question and they became engaged in December 2010. The couple set their date to be married April 22, 2011 in the Mesa Arizona Temple later that same day they had a ring ceremony and reception for their family and friends in the backyard of the groom’s parent’s home in Chandler Arizona.

Family and friends all pitched in to help make Peyton and Preston’s day as special and memorable as possible. Peyton’s mom made her brooch bouquet from searching antique stores and thrift shops and then spent hours putting it together it included heirloom pieces handed down from the bride’s grandmother. The groom’s family business provided the gift receiving 1940’s vintage Bashas truck and lots of yummy donuts at the groom’s request. There was also a soft serve ice cream station for guests to cool off and enjoy. Peyton’s step dad hung all the outdoor lighting including the vintage chandeliers.

Peyton and Preston said their I do’s in front of family and friends to a standing room crowd. The flower girl, Peyton’s niece was ushered in a wagon decorated with flowers ahead of the bride who was walked down the aisle by her father and the rest is history. Peyton’s bridesmaids wore yellow dresses and blue coverlets. The flowers were assembled by the bride’s mom’s friend and the stylist/decorator Lettie Peterson. Dinner was a coconut chicken and rice pilaf with a summer salad and rolls. The children weren’t left out, they had there own station of chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese, after a yummy dinner a tire swing awaited them in the kids area.

This family knows how to have fun and danced the night away until the bride and groom decided to start their lives as Mr. and Mrs. and called it a night as they ran under the open sky to a sparkler hallway and cheers goodbye from family and friends.
