Good morning, SMP Canada! Before we leave you for the weekend we just had to share this super cute and vintage chic wedding by none other than Mango Studios. We're loving that this graphic designer bride designed her own invites complete with feathers and jewels and that she bought each of her bridesmaids the most sparkle-y heels. From the flower girls to the out of this world florals, this wedding is certainly becoming a fast favorite. See even more here!

From the Bride...We came up with three words to describe our wedding (memorable, personal, creative - with a modern vintage feel) and we had to find the perfect vendors to match this vision. We found Mango Studios to do our photography. We loved their style, the tones they use in the photography I knew would work amazing with our color choices of yellow and grey and the mood we wanted to create. They also had an amazing Smilebooth. The smilebooth was a hit and was incorporated into the wedding favors. Everyone got a mirror picture frame with a special note instead telling them that their picture will be mailed to them (with the thank you cards). The photos were also used as a guestbook - side-by-side with little notes the guests wrote and placed in an over-sized martini glass on the guestbook table. The guestbook table also had wedding photos of our parents.
My shoes were shipped from Nordstrom, I didn't get to try them on but it worked out perfectly anyway! The bright yellow and jewels in the shoe were perfect. My bridesmaids got a treat as well, I wanted their shoe to be unique and wearable after the wedding and we found these shoes from Lost Soles, made by Naughty Monkey. The yellow is fantastic and the pattern of the other colors adds a spark! Every shoe had a different pattern.
The flower girls were in custom dresses, they were meant to have the same light weight material and flow as bridesmaids dresses. Their headpieces were from Gardens of Whimsy on Etsy.
The florist I chose is a hot new florist in Toronto, Coriander Girl. I found her style so unique and what a cute bubbly personality she has! I met with her and poured out all the details. She came up with yellow calalilies for the bridesmaids and incorporated lamb's ears to my bouquet because they had a grey tone. The lamb's ears are so soft and furry I couldn't stop touching it.
I am a graphic designer, and I was able to add a lot of personal touches. The theater allowed us to have posters outside and I created two posters - one for the groomsmen and the bridesmaids. The groomsmen was "Usual Suspects" shot in Steve's basement. The guys were all assigned a role and even dressed the part! The bridesmaids poster was a vintage movie called " The Women" and I had my cousin photograph us at my bridal shower which was a 50s housewife theme. (side note: The bridal shower had a Elvis Presley performance!!)
For entertainment we had a magician for cocktail hour. We also prepared a movie interview style video which replaced speeches. The bridal party all met at our house and were filmed individually in a question/answer format with the movie posters in the background. There were three flower girls that I just had to give some video time to too so they did the intro to the bridal bouquet 'date night' package toss. They made their own music video to Beyonce's single ladies video. They looked so cute in their polka dotted dressed from the bridal shower.
The invites were also designed by myself, including a feather, yellow jewel and the rest all grey to follow the themes. The same 'look' applied to movie theater tickets for the place setting cards, signage, and the church booklets I put together. In the booklets I found these tissues with a bride and groom and yellow flowers that were perfect to put into a pocket. I made a logo with our names and had it made into a stamp so I could put it on anything! The centerpieces were lamps.
