Clean lines and marvelous museum affairs makes my heart sing the prettiest of songs. There is just something so absolutely perfect about the marriage of beautiful artwork and an equally beautiful fête, particularly when the bride is inspired by the museum itself. So my heart is most certainly singing over this gorgeous gala captured by one of my all time favorites – Jen Huang, with seriously stylish florals from Denise Fasanello Floral Design at the Brooklyn Museum. From Denise Fasanello Floral Design…Quite simply this wedding was inspired by the Brooklyn Museum itself. Both Jessica and Michael wanted a minimalist, and clean design that would compliment the museum’s rich art collection without distracting from it. The ceremony was held inside the entrance under a striking contemporary glass canopy. The canopy allows for a copious amount of natural light to reign down while beautifully fusing with the building’s original marble facade. A true marriage of traditional and modern design.
After the ceremony guests were led to the grand Beaux Arts ballroom where the reception was held. The graphic marble tiling on the floor inspired the centerpiece design. Each table held a trio of vases with single flower groupings in deep magenta, purples and blues. Bright chartreuse green was added in order to keep it light and fresh feeling.
All the details were captured so beautifully under photographer Jen Huang’s artful gaze. A masterpiece.
