This small and intimate Brooklyn wedding is just what the doctor ordered this morning on SMP New York. And we are loving every casual and colorful inch designed and planned by Brilliant Event Planning. The table decor and flowers are so cheerful and bright, it’s hard not to smile when looking at these gorgeous images from Kate Triano Photography. Oh, and as a former English major, I must say that I’m in love with the motto on the menu encouraging guests to remember to live. Totally brilliant. Click here for more.

From the Bride, Vanessa…Nicole and I met when I was looking for a roommate. Everyone says not to date your roommate and we tried not to for a long time but after a few months it was clear to everyone that we should be together. Nicole proposed around 7am after dragging me from sleep. Apparently, it can be very nerve-wracking to propose.
As far as our inspiration, we loved the space and wanted it to be as authentic as possible. We wanted the flowers to be the brightest spots and were so happy with the color from the peonies and hydrangeas. We wanted our wedding to reflect who we are and how we live. We wanted a relaxed, convivial reception with a focus on the friends, family, food and drink.
My most vivid memory is walking in and seeing everyone we love in one place cheering for us, it was unbelievable and remains our favorite memory.
