British Columbia Wedding by Cassie's Camera

My love affair with SMP Canada grows stronger every day and it's perfect little gems like this one that have me so completely smitten.  Not only is this lovely affair a literal bundle of wedding goodness, but the bride and groom just might be the cutest ever with a sweet as can be love story that had them traveling the globe together after only a few months of dating.  Now that's what I call romance.  Add to all of their charm some fabulous backyard nuptials, a plethora of delightful DIY details and some beyond breathtaking images by Cassie's Camera and we have a full day of pretty on our hands.  Join me in the gallery for even more!

From Cassie's Camera... Chris and Natasha met five years ago, a few months after their first date they decided to quit their jobs, sell Chris's condo and put everything in storage to take off to travel the world for a year. This quickly sped up the “getting to know each other” process. From drinking beers at Oktoberfest to riding camels through Africa to surfing in Costa Rica they knew if they could survive the challenges backpacking brings they could survive anything together!

It took a few more years for Chris to propose but as soon as he did they both knew they wanted to get married in Natasha's hometown of Salmon Arm, BC. They wanted everything to be special and have meaning so they went with a rustic country chic theme. Natasha had always dreamed of being married at her parent’s home. They felt so extremely lucky to have such hard working friends and family who made sure the setting was immaculate. Tying into the country theme they laid out hay bales for their guests to sit on during the ceremony and to be sure no one ruined their outfits they laid vintage fabric down on top of each one.

There were hand made decorations everywhere you looked, each one with such a special meaning. One thing that really stuck out was the wedding  programs which featured a wedding photo of each of their grandparents and parents who have all achieved long, happy marriages.  They had turned them into lovely fans to help cool down all their guests. A special prop was included with the wedding photos, Natasha was given the white lace umbrella that her mother had held on her wedding day.

The couple could not have chosen a better location for their photos, a historical park about 2 minutes away from the ceremony venue. Seeing all of the couples hard work and planning come together was so amazing. This truly was such a magical day and I was absolutely thrilled to be photographing such beauty.
