From Kara Pearson Photography…Ashlee and Chris were married at the iconic Fourth Presbyterian Church on Michigan Avenue. The reception was across the street at the Westin Hotel.
Ashee went to Michigan State University and Chris went to the University of Illinois, so they decided their colors would be green (MSU) and orange (UofI). Chris and the groomsmen wore orange and blue socks, while Ashlee had an orange calla lily bouquet and the bridesmaids wore green dresses. Their name cards were U of I and MSU, and table names/photos were places on the campuses.
They own a dachshund, so their cake topper were bride and groom dachshunds. During the reception, to honor Chris’s Polish heritage, they did a traditional Polish dance – the baby doll dance.
