I’m totally smitten with this adorable backyard, DIY Iowa wedding. And how could I not be? Just look at all those beautiful handmade cakes, the pretty yellow and green color palette, and all those cute canned favors including cherries, salsa, and strawberry rhubarb all whipped up by the mother of the bride. And then there’s the gorgeous images by Jeff Sampson Photography that captured the day perfectly. This wedding really can’t get any better! Click here for even more.

From Jeff Sampson Photography: Practically every aspect of this wedding was DIY. The wedding was located in Hull, Iowa in the bride’s family’s yard. The favors were all handmade by the bride’s mother and included canned Strawberry Rhubarb Jam, Canned Pickles, Canned Cherries, and Canned Salsa. The program fans were made by the bride along with the tags for the cakes, table arrangements, and drinks. A friend of the family baked all the delicious cakes. All the antique decor was borrowed from an uncle who owns a local antique shop and all the jewelry was passed down by great grandma.
