Maynard Wedding by Summer Street Photography

You just know when you go to a wedding at The Rod and Gun Club that it’s gonna be a good time! I love this laid back couple’s approach to their big day…they just wanted to create a fun day that everyone would remember. Summer Street Photography was on hand to capture all the pretty-pretty details like the beautiful lace dress that the bride’s grandmother handmade, the gorgeous bunches of hydrangeas, and the wonderful and no doubt delicious display of donuts. I’m telling you, this wedding is quickly climbing to the top of my charts! Click here for even more of this fun and festive day!

From the Bride….When Seth proposed to me in August of last year with his ridiculously sweet video, it completely set the tone for the wedding we would have. No matter what we did, we knew it had to be fun. I tried not to over-complicate things and stuck with one bridesmaid (my sister), one groomsman (Seth’s brother). The hardest part was finding the reception venue that fit in our budget and style. We did our best to get the most bang for our buck, while at the same time not losing our sanity. We highly recommend our vendors from that day, Kendra and Matt at Summer Street Photography, DJ Ken, Jillian at New England Rentals, and Brian at Maynard Rod and Gun Club. They were all absolutely phenomenal!

From Summer Street PhotographyWhen we arrived at the Rod and Gun Club in Maynard, Massachusetts and heard rifles firing in the distance, we knew it was going to be an awesome wedding. They choose elements that truly reflected their warm, laid-back personalities such as opting for a doughnut dessert spread over a traditional wedding cake, having her grandmother hand make her wedding gown, installing a guest photo booth under a moose head mount and serving barbecue on vintage place settings. After the sweetest first look we’ve ever seen, we headed to the church stopping to capture a few portraits of them at their favorite roadside ice cream stand and apple orchard. Following the joyful and teary eyed ceremony they headed back to the Rod and Gun Club to be showered with loving toasts from their friends and family. We stole them away from the dance party just in time to capture a few sunset portraits in a nearby field of goldenrod flowers. An awesome wedding indeed.
