Union League Cafe Wedding by IRIS Photography

These two hottie smarties had a beyond gorgeous, elegantly urban wedding in the heart of New Haven that deserves an A++!  The look is traditionally romantic and it works oh-so perfectly in the chic, European-inspired restaurant.  And, speaking of romantic, these Yale graduates took a stroll down memory lane to tour their alma mater and where they first met!  IRIS Photography gets high marks for bringing each sweet moment and each classic detail to life with their exquisite photographs!  See them all in the full gallery!

From IRIS PhotographyStylish, relaxed European restaurant wedding in gentrified urban setting in New Haven CT.  The restaurant–Union League Cafe is on the site of the home of Roger Sherman, Revolutionary war patriot who entertained George Washington at his house.  The bride and groom were undergrads at Yale in New Haven so it was a homecoming for them…and bride also grew up in New Haven. Union League Cafe is owned by a French chef–great food & presentation, and they have a window-lit room above the restaurant for intimate weddings. We toured Yale’s campus and their college’s quad for photos. The bride and groom are a great couple at grad school in Boston now (he’s at Harvard Law, she’s at MIT for MBA). Their band–The Sidewinders–was a different choice–session musicians without singer playing instrumental music like Stevie Wonder…excellent. It had a homecoming feel with Yale and clubby, intimate restaurant was nice departure from bigger wedding venues.
