From Moore PhotographyEvents by Emma and the Winnipeg Highstyle team created this inspiring and breathtaking design using modern architecture, art, nature and fashion influences from around the globe to achieve a very classic yet edgy cosmopolitan look. This dramatic design utilized a fresh and decadent pallet of blacks and whites to create a sophisticated and brilliantly understated look. An upgrade to the classic black and white wedding requires attention to detail and demands careful, strategic accenting… in this case the Highstyle team accented with chic and timeless elements that would result in something romantic.

The table dressed perfectly in layers of white and black specialty linens were accented by varying styles of chairs and custom chair covers. Crystal chivari chairs, acrylic ghost chairs, white leather banquettes, couches and cubes against the white and black linens added “sparkle” to the table without literally “sparkling.”  Candles created drama and mood lighting, which bounced off the custom crystal globes and table chandeliers. They added that extra layer of “light” and cast off gorgeous shadows.  For that romantic, soft, and lush look- the floral arrangements were done in white hydrangeas accented with long vertical stems of stock and tulips arranged in large pillowy containers set a top large white ceramic pedestals. The off-white arrangements offset the black and somehow “lifted” the room (like a “cloud effect”) and made everything dreamy.

The fashion was beautiful yet extremely simple and accented with beautiful jewelery and a very powerful yet soft looking design of theatrical body art hand painted and designed with white body paint and diamonds that wove down the models face to her arms.

As the final personal touch for each place setting custom fine letterpress stationery was created and adorned the table and if that was not enough extravagant mini and personalized desserts (including chocolate covered strawberries, cake pops and individual creme brule) were placed on top mini ghost chairs and custom porcelain cups for guests to enjoy and take home.
