About Sara Wight...Sara Wight is an award-winning photographer with an MFA in Photography, Video and Related Media from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. For more than a decade, her fine art photography has been exhibited widely in solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States and is held in many private collections. She also shoots commercially, teaches photography and has worked as an art director with some of the top photographers in the world. Sara's background brings to her photography a technical expertise that is elevated by her artistic approach and her appreciation for all that is possible within the medium of photography. She is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers, Wedding Photojournalist Association, Artistic Guild of the WPJA and the Professional Photographers of America. The ketubah is a 3000 year old prenuptial - an earthly contract between bride and groom. Ancient ketubot, are written in Aramaic, to explain basic material, conjugal and moral obligations of the groom to his bride. It acknowledges and protects the rights and property of the wife from destitution, in cases of divorce or death. The contract is signed by two witnesses and conveyed to the bride during the wedding ceremony.
Adlerdesigns started in 2001 when asked to design a ketubah for her sister. Thus began a fulfilling journey, sharing some of the happiest, most special times in a couple's life. Combining modern designs with classic technique, Stephanie created a unique work of art, unlike any other ketubah at that time. AHAVA, the Hebrew word for LOVE, was created from the arrangement of Hebrew letters to signify a binding, infinite symbol of happiness.
