Melani's advice to Brides: Please allow the photographer at least two hours to do your creatives and formals. High quality photography takes time, they are not just snapshots, and we need to make sure the lighting and composition are perfect and complimentary for you. Getting dressed on your wedding day will take longer than on any day in your life and you need to add at least 20 minutes on to your estimate, as adjustments to the sash, veil, buttoning, etc. will take up more time than you think and often need to be redone. Always be in constant contact with your photographer, updating them with your preferences and always make sure to review and refine the timeline at least a few months in advance, your photographer will help you make sure that there is enough time during the wedding day to create gorgeous photos for you. Most importantly, trust your photographer. If you have hired a high quality photographer based upon their complete portfolio, listen to them and let them give you direction, they know which angles work best for you and they will know how to prompt and direct you together to make sure that your photography is full of beauty, energy and emotion.
