From Oh So..Chic Celebrations…For this creative shoot I drew an inspiration from a paper that I found at a local craft store that I truly fell in love with it, as it has everything that I love: the color combo of purple, red, and orange, with hints of gold. As well as the flower patterns that are so unique. I tried to incorporate the patterns and colors into everything from invitations, description tags, cookies and even the cake itself.
This wedding is for a bride and groom who are not afraid to mix colors and patterns and are young and funky. It is reflected in the shirt and tie of the groom and his sock and footwear choice. The bride is wearing a traditional gown (but the flowers are represented as a appliqué on her dress) and her choice of the accessories is bold yet still very classic- the single bloom in her hair which is actually a flower pin from the dress. The bridesmaid dress is simple purple dress with red accessories. The flowers of choice are carnations. Normally that type of a bloom is synonymous with gas station flower buckets or filler flowers, but I think if it’s a single bloom arrangement like in the case of the centerpieces it works amazing in a modern and funky way and a great cost effective solution for a bride on a budget and they last a long time. Long after the wedding is done. For the boutonniere and the bouquet we added anemones just for added interest and texture. The table is set up with alternating bunches of carnations, and tall pillar candles as well as low single bloom anemones. The vases are placed on orange plexi circles for added color and interest. Once again the paper is used in the band around the candle and in the menu itself. Guest favours are simple round box filled with red gummy berries and presented with a thank you card and orange ribbon in keeping with the colors of the shoot. Plates and linens are kept white with the added color of purple napkins and wine glasses.
Dessert table was set up around the 3 tiered cake that covered in white chocolate fondant and hand painted with the flowers once again inspired by the paper. Cookies, marshmallows and other sweets drew the inspiration from the same said paper some in shapes and color others just in colors.
