This gorgeous, traditional wedding was made even more beautiful than it already was thanks to the out of this world photos by none other than davina + daniel. They have a way of capturing the light just so that makes even the most romantic of weddings feel like they are straight out of a fairytale. We are loving all the details in this wedding, especially after reading the description and finding out that family and friends pitched in on everything from florals to invites. Now that's one talented bunch! See even more right here in the full gallery.

From the Bride...V and I met during a summer camp in Boston ten years ago. We started dating our freshman year of college and have been together since. When it came time to plan our wedding, we couldn't think of a more perfect venue than the college chapel next to my freshman dormitory. We set our wedding the weekend of our fifth college reunion and decided to hold the reception at the Harvard Club. V and I love the Boston Public Library for its beautiful architecture, and we had our first look there. Throughout it all, the spectacularly talented davina + daniel captured all of the subtleties of light and space, creating these beautiful images.
We had the major pieces of the puzzle set about a year out, but then, as it turned out, I spent most of the fall semester away for research. So at the start of the spring semester, with none of the details set but so little time left, we recruited some of our friends to help bring this together. In February, my colleagues K and L and I went to the university printing press to learn how to letterpress. We spent a few late nights pretending we didn't have dissertations to write, instead setting text and printing invitations, programs, and menus. In March, I still didn't have a dress, though there was a dreamy ballet-inspired confection of lace and tulle I had my eye on, and my bridesmaids staged a dress intervention and made me realize that this Monique Lhuillier gown was"the one." The dress set the rest of the details: peonies and roses in cream, blush pink, and apricot, evoking the palette of ballet, with petite ribbons, flowers, and pearls on the cake, toasting flutes, and escort cards. To match the doily lace edges of the escort cards, my future sister-in-law and I spent a few mornings the week of the wedding stamping out the scalloped edges of the 110 cookie place cards, setting the names by hand, embellished with three pale pink pearls -- a design feature contributed by the groom!
Throughout the entire process, we were continually supported by our wonderful family and friends. Our mothers and sisters helped us arrange all of the bouquets and centerpieces the two days before the wedding. For the ceremony, our dear friend H assembled a beautiful string quartet, and our friend D played a trumpet solo. Our sisters contributed readings in Sanskrit and Japanese, honoring religious and family tradition. At our reception, we enjoyed South Indian food (for our families) with French-inspired cocktails and desserts (for our friends). Special thanks must go out to Nicole Rhode of Flour Bakery, who made seven exquisite croquembouche, which were arrayed throughout the room and enjoyed by all. Fueled by spun sugar and champagne, man of honor K got the party started with his DJing. We couldn't have had a more perfect night.
