The Hyatt Canberra Wedding by Kelly Tunney Photographer

I can not even begin to tell you how much I adore these Canberra nuptials.  Believe you me, there is not a single detail that I am not completely and madly in love with.  Not a one.  The beautiful bride's gorgeous gown and hair piece, the natural color palette, the afternoon tea, the lawn games...  If I could have this exact wedding tomorrow, I would.  And since a wedding isn't on my agenda for this week, I'm more than happy to make due with all of the stunning images by Kelly Tunney Photographer.  I'm filling my day with all of this gorgeousness and that's always a good thing.  Join me in the gallery for all of the pretty!

From the Bride... Jake and I have been together since 2003, our parents went to High school together and Jake and I were a year a part at the same high school but we didn't get to know each other until 2002 and began dating a year later. We are completely opposite yet we have the same sense of humor and bounce of each other. He is the most genuine, honest person I know and I have so much fun with him.

Family and friends mean a lot to Jake and I and we wanted the day to feel intimate and relaxed. We had lots of natural tones with touches of green and purple with lots of silverware and glass, creams, ivories and sandy tones. Just timeless, we didn't want the look to date.

Without a doubt it was always going to be the Hyatt for our venue. I have always been in love with this building for its art deco charm and presence. The courtyard is beautiful with its manicured gardens, paved path and the large tree in the centre. I knew I didn't want too many decorations as the courtyard is so lovely I didn't want it to be cluttered with too much "stuff," it had to have that garden party effortless feel and frankly I would have been sad if the weather meant we had to move the wedding indoors to the beautiful ballroom. Everything was centred around this vintage garden party/afternoon tea.

The whole day was so relaxed, I have never been so calm. I didn't want to stress, I wanted to enjoy every minute of that day. My most vivid memory would be towards the end of the day melting into Jake's arms as we sway to the jazz band in the afternoon sun. I was so content at that moment.  Jake's mum singing with the band was another special moment for both of us.
