If fabulous fell in love with rustic and they had a love child it would be this wedding shot by Marianne Wilson Photography. This perfectly gorgeous mix of top buns and cowboy boots, baby’s breath and glammed up necklaces, lawn games and sparkly boleros. It’s one of those weddings that throws all rules out the door and blends chic details and rustic sensibilities without skipping a single beat. Needless to say, we are smitten kittens for this love fest and we have a whole gallery that awaits for afternoon perusing so hop to it!

From the Bride …Will and I wanted a wedding that was US. We wanted it to be fun for not only us, but for our very special family and friends. From the time we got engaged, Will gave me the authority to have complete control over the planning process. I wanted a vintage theme with a rustic, country flair. From the game corn hole, to our candy cart, to the fire pit and hay bales, our special day was about gathering our friends and family for a party to celebrate the next step in mine and Will’s lives.
The days and months leading up to the wedding were filled with trips to the LA Flower Mart, the Rose Bowl Swap Meet and scavenging through my grandmother’s attics for treasures that would add to the antiqued, welcoming feel. Classes were taken so my Uncle Pat could officiate our special day, as it was important to us that our officiant had been a big part of our relationship and our lives together. Craft day with my bridesmaids consisted of creating party favors (lottery tickets with lucky pennies), programs (fans that thanked guests for coming, thanked our parents and our amazing wedding party, and gave peace and love to those joining us in spirit), sewing bow ties and putting together our center pieces.
The Thursday before the wedding, my mom and I journeyed down to the LA Flower Mart. We went down there with not much in mind and came home with an array of cream and white wild flowers, as well as the most amazing, in-season peonies! (Please note: the wedding was in June to correlate with “peony season.”) My bouquet of peonies was wrapped in rustic burlap and tied with a locket that held a photo of my grandfather that passed away.
Complete with cowboy boots and home cooked BBQ food, a little rain just added to the intimacy of our special day. We strung photos of all of our wedding guests to complete the view that overlooked surrounding fields.
