From My Bride Story Weddings and Events…Min had a vision of a wedding that was feminine, lovely and romantic, with lots of entertaining elements for her guests. She chose Craven’s Estate as her venue, which was a perfect location for her romantic backyard wedding. Feminine colors such as blush pink, peach, ivory, green with a touch of gold accents complemented the gold iron gate on Craven’s Estate’s front porch perfectly. Kristine Shin Designs created all the lush and romantic florals for the ceremony & reception. Because the front porch is beautiful by itself, we decided to adorn the ceremony area by arranging lanterns, tree stumps and various flower plants at the entrance of the aisle only. Guests were welcomed to the wedding with a lounge area created with furniture pieces from Found Rentals, in which they were able to enjoy the beautiful summer weather while sipping on bottles of Coca Cola and Izzy sodas. The whole day was one filled with surprises for the guests, but one of the most biggest “wow” factors of the wedding was how the bridal party danced down the aisle to Glee’s “Marry You” routine! All the guests enjoyed the unexpected surprise and could not stop talking about it! The escort cards, smooth stones with names in calligraphy by Oohlie & Aahlie, were placed atop an antique table decorated with moss and fresh blossoms of various flowers.
For the reception, Min handmade over 120+ paper flowers that were tied around each blush pink napkin with a white lace ribbon. This feminine lace theme was further incorporated into the decor with lace runners on the long tables, and also by wrapping lace ribbons around the wooden boxes that held the gorgeous floral arrangements for those tables. To complete the romantic design, Kristine Shin Designs placed pink and white candles in small candle cups to create a beautiful ambiance of light at night.
Without a doubt, all of the personal and thoughtful touches that the Bride and Groom incorporated into the wedding allowed the couple’s dream of having a memorable and beautiful summer night wedding that all their guests can enjoy to come true. Min created adorable signs/tags for each bridal party member, describing their unique personality traits, and it was so much fun watching Heather Kincaid capture it all on camera! We also had an idea of setting up a Game Station for the guys to keep themselves busy throughout the evening, and many of the guests had a blast at the photobooth station. The thoughtful couple even provided the guests with fresh tacos and the Cool Haus Ice Cream Truck for a late night snack, which everyone loved! Their wedding could not have been any more perfect, as the perfect weather, details for the decor, and every other element came together wonderfully to create a lovely and romantic affair.
