Classic Summerville Wedding by Hyer Images

Good morning lovelies and welcome back to another wonderful Wednesday filled to the brim with seven amazing weddings! It's easy to see why this is our favorite day of the week here at SMP because today is the day we get to have a full on swoon fest til the cows come home and honestly, what could be better than that? Don't forget to hit up the galleries to see your favorites in all their glory!

First up is this adorable southern wedding that's so sweet I seriously had a hard time deciding which amazing photos from Hyer Images to share with all of you. The soft pink palette, the vintage DIY touches and yes, the signature drink of spiked Arnold Palmer's are just a few of my favorite things about this gorgeous wedding. For even more, click here.

Months before we got engaged, Justin was stationed overseas for a contract position for his company.  When he finally came home, I surprised him with a stay at the Woodlands Inn, South Carolina's only 5 star and 5 diamond inn and restaurant. During our stay there, we fell in love with the place.  It was so beautiful and we both agreed this would be a perfect place for our wedding one day.  Fast forward a couple months, and we got engaged.  We both knew the Woodlands Inn would be the place.  That decision pretty much set the tone of the wedding, and the direction I went in styling it.

I knew I wanted the wedding to feel soft and romantic just like the location but with a bit of a rustic feel, so I picked a soft color palette of blush pink, sage green, creams and taupes. The flowers we lush, full of roses, hydrangeas and even a couple palmetto roses which gave it a southern flair.  To make it a bit rustic, flowers were placed in wooden vases on the cocktail tables, and little ceramic birds were artistically placed around several of the tables.

There were several DIY projects that I was very proud of, including handmade pillows embellished with our monogram, the programs, and toss bags full of birdseed.  The guests especially enjoyed our guest book tree, courtesy of Bleu de toi of Etsy,  and our signature drinks of spiked Arnold Palmer's and raspberry lemonade in mason jars which also pulled in our rustic theme.

The girls wore beautiful blush pink dresses by Amsale and gold shoes of their choice.  They were surprised with personalized converse with their name on the back in each girls favorite color.  The men wore tan suits from Savvi and sage green custom ties with oak tree's screen printed on them.  My dress was by Watters, and made me feel incredibly beautiful.  I loved how light and flowy it was, and how unique the embellishments were.  My hairstylist, Ashley Fisher of Ash & Co, finished off my look with my dream hair style and makeup.  She gave me soft sidecurls and side braids which I loved.  I wore soft goldish-pink heels by Kate Spade to the ceremony and then changed into pink converse with my new name, Mrs. Dean on the back for the reception. My something old and borrowed was my grandmother's handkerchief, my something blue was my grandmother's sapphire ring. My something new was a pair of beautiful earrings my groom gifted me on the day of our wedding.
