I can’t think of a better way to jump start the first official weekend of summer than with this vintage-inspired South Beach engagement session. These stunning images by Heidi of Our Labor of Love have me daydreaming of long sunny days on the beach and a pair of super cute roller skates. I’m taking a cue from this gorgeous couple and making my weekend plans now. Before I roll off into the sunset, make sure to join me in the gallery for even more sunny day inspiration!

From the Bride… My now-husband Sean and I are Miami natives, so naturally the beach is one of our favorite places. We knew that when the time came, we’d shoot our engagement pictures there but we wanted to do it with a twist. We decided on a subtle 70’s Miami beach theme since we are particularly fond of both that decade and our fabulous city. We rented skates from a South Beach skate shop and had a blast trying our best not to fall while the very talented Heidi of Our Labor of Love snapped our pictures. We then changed into swimsuits to frolic on the shore and have a few beers on the sand. The shirt that Sean is wearing with his swim trunks was a local vintage shop find and it has become one of his wardrobe favorites. Our love shoot ended in the quiet alleys of bustling South Beach at night. The entire day felt magical, and we were even able to include our furbaby Fiona Apple in a few images.
