The images that Kirsten Ellis of Beaux Arts Photographie shares are always total and complete magic from beginning to end. We’ve been known to fall victim to a whole afternoon of image gazing thanks to this lovely lady and we fear it is about to happen again with this perfect little gem held at the Santa Barbara Historical Museum. Hand crafted with a drool-worthy eye for detail by Blue Magnolia Events and a yummy cameo appearance from some of the most delicious cupcakes in the biz courtesy of Enjoy Cupcakes, we are planning on plopping our happy blogging hinnies down and spending the rest of the day on over in the gallery.

From Blue Magnolia Events… Megan and Brian Sharp, an artist and a teacher, were married October 9th, 2010 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Santa Barbara followed by a reception at Santa Barbara Historical Museum. Both Santa Barbara locals, their wedding design was inspired by their favorite things about their hometown, as well as the couple’s recent trip to Granada, Spain. A palette of terra cotta, green and purples played off the old mission style of the site and the succulent-dominated floral design.
Megan found the bridesmaid dresses, custom invitation designer and calligrapher via Etsy. The letterpressed invitations incorporated Spanish tile designs. Guests sat down to rustic tables with large platters of crusty breads, honey, figs and almonds, followed by paella (the groom’s favorite dish) and filet mignon.
The bride surprised the groom with a cigar and scotch bar — a big hit! Guests danced the night away to a 12 piece band (Soul City Survivors). The couple honeymooned in Carmel.
