And believe me, you’ll want a few minutes alone with this Outer Banks beach affair. We’ll call it a mini-vaca in the middle of your Tuesday. Sounds great, right? Well it really is. Great, that is. The warm beach, a flowy dress, and a couple so sweetly in love, you’ll be grateful you closed your office door. Oh, and grab a box of tissues! I’ll leave you to your vacation now, but when you’re finished and you need a little more, check out Life Stage’s blog. And I’ll field your phone calls for you.

From Kara at Life StageJoey & Carrie’s wedding day had it all. It’s almost impossible how perfect Joey & Carrie’s wedding was, and we had the privilege of filming one of the best days we have ever had on the “job” at Life Stage Films. We couldn’t stop filling this highlights film with all the great things spoken during the toasts, especially from Carrie’s sister and dad, so we chose to use them as “lyrics” to their film’s soundtrack, because honestly, it was the perfect way to tell their wedding day story. Just watch and enjoy.

From the Bride … We met almost 20 years ago at a mutual friend’s house at a Halloween party circa 1991. We were about 15 and 16. Once we were introduced we ended up dating for about two weeks and then called it quits. Typical for 16 year olds, right? After years had gone by, on Memorial Day 2003, Carrie, happened to be single, got a phone call from an old friend who had been living in Chicago and so had Carrie. She asked Carrie if she remembered Joey Bohlmann and would she want to go out tonight to see a band Joey was playing in. The rest fell into place from there.

We’ve been visiting the Outer Banks for the last several years with our families. It is where we were engaged. It is a mystical, relaxing and beautiful place. The Sanderling just seemed like the perfect venue for our wedding. So quaint and excellent service. Wendy Murray the event coordinator was amazing to work with.

We wanted a beachy ambiance with a vintage flair. I love fall colors so we chose burnt orange, eggplant, chocolate and cream for our color scheme. We went with Holiday House for florals and decor.

We actually had our matchmakers present the sand for the sand ceremony with was so fitting and special. They realized what important roles they played in our relationship. I loved the ceremony. It was absolutely magical and the weather was perfect. I had no idea that would actually be my favorite part.
