Rancho Santa Fe Wedding by Flowers by Erin + He & She Photography

There is something about the combination of terracotta pots and succulents that just screams Southern California.  I love how it is incorporated in this Rancho Santa Fe wedding by He & She Photography with a little rustic Spanish flair.  And what a lucky bride to have a sister-in-law like Flowers by Erin to create stunning ceremony flowers to complete the look.  Add in bouquets and centerpieces by superstars Honey & Poppies and you have some seriously jaw-dropping blossoms all around.  Click here to see even more!

From Flowers by Erin… My brother, Ryan, and his now wife, Ali, were married on August 28, 2010 at The Emma House in Rancho Santa Fe outside of San Diego, CA. I wish I could take credit for the fabulous, style-forward look that Ali created for their wedding day, but it was all her aesthetic. From the burlap tablecloths to the sofa table “altar,” from the colors and flowers to the twine wrapped belly bars, it was all perfectly beautiful! Ali wanted it to look like everything came together as if “brushed off from Grandma’s attic.” All the finds, style, and “Anthro” vibe that she loves came together in this perfectly gorgeous day.

Now my brother is also a funky guy and had a say in a lot more than your typical groom. The place cards strung from twine and clothes pins across the arch were all his idea and not only served as programs, but also table numbers and menus for the guests. He wanted the strung carnival style lights around the dance floor, and asked the groomsmen to buy grey suits at a fraction of the rental cost, but with much more style. He picked out cuff links for each of his groomsmen to represent their individual style and was totally on board with the billy ball and succulent boutonnières wrapped in twine for the guys.

The girls had dahlias, billy balls, succulents, dusty miller, ranunculus, roses, etc. in their bouquets. In addition Ali had white gardenias and Cafe Au Lait dahlias in her bouquet with a sweet smelling gardenia in her hair. The ceremony “focal point” was a sofa table that they purchased to keep always in their home and “Ella’s Elephant.” Both were decorated with multiple vases of flowers and candles along with potted succulents. The reception tablescapes consisted of multiple vases, carafes, and containers with billy balls, succulents, dusty miller, ranunculus, roses, etc. and completed the elegantly casual feel.

Of course, no wedding would be complete without a hot air balloon fly-by (quite by accident), and added an extra moment of amazement during the first dance… and when all is said and done Ali and Ryan walked off into a beautiful sunset, cowgirl boots and all.
