This might be one of the most creatively executed theme weddings I’ve ever seen. Especially considering all the baseball-inspired details were created by the couple and their friends. I love that their shared love for baseball made a major appearance throughout their big day and in such fun ways too. The baseball quotes, jersey numbers for tables, “will-call tickets” for escort cards are all genius ways to bring something totally unexpected into wedding decor. Captured Photography by Jenny gets to shoot the most fun occasions and this Palm Beach celebration is no exception! Click here to see the full gallery!

From the Bride… We knew when we got engaged, we wanted to have a FUN and UNIQUE wedding! The second we found the cufflinks, we knew we wanted to have a baseball themed wedding. We actually play on a softball team together and have a common love for the Yankees, so we knew it was just US.
We were on a budget, so we had to be creative. But it was fun to come up with ideas. With help from our friends and family, we were able to bring to life our own personal ballpark! One of my good friends and bridesmaid, Shawna, helped us design all the signage. It was so special for us to have our own personalized programs, invites, and little signs throughout the reception. We even had a monogram with our new last name in it (Zapata). My uncle helped put together all of the girl’s Tulip bouquets, our church floral arrangements, and the boy’s boutonnieres. Simply Flowers made my bouquet of Peonies, Tulips, and Hydrangeas and the Baby’s Breath centerpieces in the reception. We made tickets as place cards and tied them to a box of crackerjacks (yum). Each of the tables were named after a Yankee legend. And instead of having our guests sign a guest book we had them sign two Louisville sluggers. Tony bought each of his guys a fitted MLB hat of their favorite team as a gift (and this all came in a fun prop during our photos). We have five dogs and love them like crazy. So, in lieu of favors, we donated money to a local Animal Rescue. Our cake/cupcakes from Johnson’s Custom Cakes had five different varieties for our guests to choose from.
From the crackerjack boxes, to having miniature sugar figurines of our dogs on our cake, each detail was something that reflected who we are and our relationship! The dance floor was never empty and our wedding really felt more like a PARTY than a reception and we wouldn’t have had it any other way! We truly had the time of our lives!
