Burbank Photo Shoot by Amy Stone Photography + Jessica Burns

Being a lover of pretty things, I adore photo shoots because they are always jammed packed with oodles of goodies to ogle.  Sometimes photo shoots, however, can feel a little unrealistic and not very budget friendly.   That’s why this inspiration from Amy Stone Photography and Jessica Burns is a delightful breath of fresh air.  It would be easy peasy to recreate and definitely gentle on the wallet.  I love that it is sweet with a wild edge and the vintage wedding dress paired with a leather hat and booties is wildly perfect.  Click here to see even more!

From the moment Amy and Jessica first worked together on Jessica’s sisters wedding last summer, they instantly clicked. They fell in love with each others work and have decided to form a partnership where Jessica creates beautiful things and Amy takes stunning pictures of those things – its pure magic.

This vintage outdoor wedding inspiration shoot is the first of many projects that they have planned. Their inspiration for this shoot was a gorgeous couple – Grace and Luis, an awesome vintage wedding dress and the stunning outdoors. They love what the elements such as burlap, torn novel pages, wildflowers and vintage broaches add to the shoot; undone beauty.

They chose to keep the main elements very simple and easy for anyone to re-create. First, decide your theme and color pallete; then begin to build the elements from there. They chose browns, creams and light pinks. The flowers were from the Los Angeles Flower Mart and were put together using pieces of floral foam in antique European serving pieces Jessica picked up in Rome last year. The stem wear, doilies, picture frame and vintage plates can be found at local second hand store or flea market. The items themselves don’t have to be antique or expensive they just need to reference the color pallete and theme to create a cohesive look.

The book page theme is incorporated both into the wreaths, the chair decorations and the favors. The book page wreathes are very easy to make – all you need is a foam wreath, hot glue gun and book pages taken apart, rolled up and glued to the wreath. The favors are equally as easy to make – you need a natural color box (filled with your favorite sweet treat), folded book pages and a ribbon to secure everything together – this all can be found a your local craft store. These projects are incredibly versatile; you can substitute the book pages with sheet music, pages of poetry or even newspaper.
