If you hear a little rumbling, it’s most certainly my stomach after going through all the delicious images of this prep to plate shoot by Oh, Darling! Photography featuring Michael Stuart NY. I can literally smell the tastiness through my computer screen, and I absolutely ADORE this idea for a shoot. For anyone that has tried to throw a dinner party, you know that making the table guest-worthy is just the first step – the most important thing of all is the food. My hat is off to Michael for sure and you can see even more evidence why in the full gallery of images.

From Michael of Michael Stuart NY… When I was approached by our friends Whitney & Dustin from Oh, Darling! Photography about doing a photo shoot encompassing the entire “prep to plate” process, I could not have been more thrilled. Since it is something I have always wanted to do, I immediately began planning the menu. This is what came out of it:
Lemon sole crudo with serrano chili, lemon-lime oil, pink peppercorn, and alea sea salt; Sweet pea risotto with foraged mushrooms, and fried quail egg; Diver sea scallop “sandwich” with crispy prosciutto, pea shoot, and sweet corn sauce; Pan seared branzino with carrot-ginger puree, grilled artichoke and gremolata; Crispy skin chicken with house gnocchi, asparagus coins, and black truffle; Local NY strip steak with farro & rice, rainbow chard & pickled ramps.
