The prettiest shade of peach, romantic whites, killer heels and a drop-dead gorgeous dress. Did I mention the heels are killer? That might be why they make an appearance three times in the post. Sorry but fancy footwear captures my heart like no other. The shoes and the rest of their romantic sidekicks are making their wedding debut at this Pasadena shindig and it was all caught on camera by Desi Baytan Photography. Rather beautifully might I add and so worth a trip to the gallery for more.

From Desi Baytan Photography… Eechin and Joe tied the knot at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Pasadena and their reception was held at The Athenaeum at CalTech, also in Pasadena. Eechin is an architect graduate and knew what she wanted as backdrop for her wedding. Both church and venue provided the look of what she was looking for of classical architecture. The Presbyterian church is well know as it has been in Hollywood feature films. With its high mason ceilings, this cathedral was a match to the Athenaeum’s columns and open courtyards. It brought about a sense of place but with dramatic scale.
The Athenaeum is great for photography including the interiors. The room for the bride to get ready in has large French doors that bathe the room with soft and delightful light that helped make Eechin and her bridesmaids glow. The rooms were also classically furnished and juxtapose so easily with anything classic or vintage. Outside is a plethora of nooks and crannies where we took the couple for their first meet. It was almost as if they were inside an Italian piazza as columns and arches fill the background.
At the reception area, natural light came in from the archways and covered with a soft pink screen tent. A crystal chandelier hung center over the dance floor. This reception area can also be opened to the sky if you so desired. As the sun descends the soft warm lights above provides a perfect ambience to any gala.
Eechin and Joe made two entrances. First the grand entrance where they immediately took to the dance floor for their first dance. Later, as guests were finishing dinner, she changed to a white short dress with red belt and red shoes. A surprise performance of tango was in store. I could tell that Eechin is no stranger to this dance. And a final outfit change, Eechin changed to a chi-pao, a traditional Chinese gown and with her husband, Joe, danced the night away.
