There is just something oh-so-romantic about a wedding in THE city. Manhattan. Classic and chic. Just like this wedding. The bride decided on navy blue to compliment the traditional New York City ambiance, and the result was totally magical.You almost expect to see Frank Sinatra crooning in the corner. Melani Lust Photography is the genius behind the gorgeous images, and we can’t get enough of the excitement, the romance, the love that seems to pour out of them. Steve proposed on our way to dinner at my favorite NYC steakhouse, The Old Homestead. When my sister told me I should bring my camera in case we go out afterward, I had a funny feeling it was engagement night!
We both work in finance and a few years ago we had our Christmas party at Bridgewaters. I loved it! When we got engaged, I knew I wanted to have it there; we didn’t even look at any other venues. I always knew I wanted a simple and classic wedding, and thought nothing worked for the feeling I wanted better than navy blue!
We loved having Melani Lust there for our big day. She takes the most wonderful photographs. I have two absolute favorite pictures – one of Steve and I walking on Front Street, him holding my flowers and he and I kissing in front of Grand Central Central, all cars blurred in the background.
Favors weren’t important to us, I wanted to do something meaningful instead. Steve and I made a donation to The Lustgarten Foundation in memory of my father.
