From the bride ... We wanted a theme wedding based on fun patterns and exciting colors blended in a mixture of art and architecture. We also wanted the wedding to be original and organic, so Ted, I, and our dedicated family and friends actually hand-made all our invitations, menus, and ceremony programs.
The French parti comes in with our love affair with Pink Martini and their French songs. Of course, our first dance had to be Pink Martini’s “Ou Est Ma Tete?” Although we couldn’t get Pink Martini to perform at our wedding, Big Lucky, who also performed at Frank G’s 80th birthday party, did an absolutely fantastic job entertaining our guests.
With a French modern chic design in concept, the rest of the decorative elements slowly fell into place along with my growing fetish in feathers and tutus. I even ended up making the tutu dress for my dog to match my bridesmaids and flower girls!
During our wedding planning journey, in a matter of half of a year, Ted was the biggest supporter of all. Where can you find a guy who is equally crazy about feathers and tutus as I am? In search of wedding art and craft supplies to complete our vision, together we have outdone ourselves. A marathon of running to every corner in Los Angeles lead to realizing the city is just simply full of possibilities and surprises.
