San Francisco Wedding by Amazáe Special Events

I’ve literally spent the entire morning poring over this wedding. Trying to figure out how in the world I was going to format it so that you fell as absolutely in love with it as I have. The kind of love that makes you drop all of your wedding plans thus far and copy every last detail of this perfect day, captured beautifully by Augie Chang. I know, we’re cruel here at SMP. Plus, the wedding happens to have taken place in my old San Fran stomping ground and captures the essence of the city to perfection, which makes me a very happy blogger. Boy meets girl. Modern meets Victorian. Classic meets Contemporary. Bundled all up to perfection by the designers at Amazáe Special Events. So grab a warm cup off coffee or a glass of vino (it’s five o’clock somewhere), kick up your loubs and enjoy this fabulous little fete. Oh and there is SO much more in the gallery, including a stunning outdoor ceremony.

Karman and Jae’s wedding was all about details, details, details. 2.5 years of details to be exact due to a year postponement. With everything that was involved, the time was needed.  Karman and Jae were even a part in the East Coast for a portion of their engagement, but held on strong to create a wonderful destination wedding for most of their 80 guests.  They were such a cute couple worried about it all, and making sure their guests were taken care of from the minute the arrived with intricate and giving welcome baskets, to shuttles to ensure easy travel, to a full wedding day where their guests were constantly taken care of.  We were happy to make it happen for them, especially since they were not local.

I had a blast with this couple designing and executing all the intricate details.  It was a soft and romantic feel, grouped together with a contemporary edge.  Really kept to the soft pallette of ballet pink/peach, gray and the earth tones.  We found a perfect white traditional SF home fixed inside with all the contemporary touches.  The bridal party arrived early to enjoy the house and then wake up wedding day to get ready.

As folks arrived to the inspiring view of the ceremony, music, drinks and home made cookie treats awaited for them.  The weather and service was perfect, and everyone left anticipating the reception. The reception location was perfect to for the out of town guess enjoy a cocktail hour inside to admire the house, a dinner reception outside enclosed by drapery and bamboo trees with two different complimentary tabletop designs, ending with dancing and sweets that continued all night. Guests definitely did not leave hungry or thirsty.
