We have a quick preview of a special Saturday feature that we’re putting the finishing touches on from Amanda at Orchard Cove Photography! This beautiful fall wedding took place in New York City ~ with the ceremony at the stunning Church of the Heavenly Rest followed by a dinner reception at the Central Park Boathouse. Fall was in the air and sparkled in every aspect of the celebration!

Walking down the aisle. I was so excited and nervous, and had been thinking about that moment for years. Everyone had told me to go slow, look around, and enjoy that moment. My mother walked me down the aisle, which was so meaningful. Not only because the last time she had walked down that aisle was for her own wedding 30 years earlier, but because she represented the other two men who should have been there, on my arm. The first was my father, and the second was my grandfather who had passed away not 2 weeks before that day, and who was a hugely important person in my life. Holding my mother’s hand and enjoying every moment of that walk down an absurdly long aisle, and seeing John at the end – is absolutely a moment that I will never forget.
