More on the details behind this gorgeous wedding…
Stella wore a gorgeous gown from Vera Wang, while her attendants were in dresses in the softest shades of pink. Holly Flora was part of the extensive team that flew to Maui to bring it all together and she didn’t disappoint in creating a style that was a little bit vintage, a little bit garden and a whole lot of Stella. For the ceremony, Stella walked down a pathway of fresh herbs and petals while the bridesmaids each had a different bouquet inspired by the color palette. The flower girls carried whimsical ribbon wands and wore wreaths of baby’s breath for a delicate touch. The couple stood under a vintage crystal chandelier with a waterfall flowing in the background. For the reception, raw wood tables with runners in soft shades of blue and classic hemstitch napkins created a subtle backdrop for the gorgeous tablescape of mismatched china and garden roses in a collection of vases, french tea tins and pressed glass that felt as if we had spent years acquiring the vessels from french flea markets. And, just for fun we add surprise moments of the most charming butterflies on everything from the flowers to the hanging chandeliers to even the place cards.
The guests dined on a formal seated dinner in extensive candlelight before the DJ opened the dance floor with the bride and groom’s first dance. For dessert, we continued the Parisian inspiration with just a simple cake on a vintage pedestal and accented with fresh florals. Desserts were tropical flavored macarons, macadamia tarts and a variety of Hawaiian favorites served petit for style on a sweet collection of trays and cake stands.
The bride and groom said goodbye to their guests with a casual brunch at a private estate overlooking the ocean where they spent their week. It was truly a magical experience and we feel so lucky to have been entrusted with such an amazing celebration! A huge congratulations to Stella and Peter!
