Looking at these bright, cheerful and airy images by Rowell Photography, one would never know that it rained on this couple’s wedding day…or that we are in the middle of a frigid New England winter. For a moment while gawking at these delightful, yellow-infused, detailed-filled images I could almost smell the sweet summer rain. Which might explain why I spent the entire day getting lost in the gallery, which fully suggest (and recommend) doing.

Kelly & Lee were married on September 4th 2010 at Windermere House in Muskoka, Canada. Windereme House is a legendary resort that over looks Lake Rousseau. Built in the mid 1800’s , a giant white estate with boat docks surrounding the exterior and a turn of the century cobblestone walkway that lead to a small pub. On Kelly & lee’s wedding day It rained and the ceremony was moved from the back yard which over looked the lake to the main dining room. Guests crowded in and surrounded the couple in a very intimate setting with guests sitting, and standing wherever they could. Kelly walked down the aisle to a cover of “Forever Young” by Youth Group. Their colour scheme was yellow and cream with hints of gold here and there, from the bridesmaids gold shoes, to the mini pale yellow deserts, table napkins and even the ring bearers little bow tie.
Earlier int he morning the bridesmaids woke up and had a yoga instructor brought in to relax them all before the big event. Lee had his best man bring Kelly a surprise wedding gift for her to open before she left the Windermere cottages. He bought her a pair of earrings and sent her a note asking if she would wear them today. At the reception instead of having just a guest book for people to sign, Kelly and Lee bought a Fuji Instax mini camera and a bunch of polaroids and let the guests go crazy taking their own photos. Later in the evening guests enjoyed cupcakes and dancing.
