This next wedding is for all you vintage lovers and Southern lovers and well…really for anyone that can appreciate a fabulous garden fete. We happen to be HUGE connoisseurs of these outdoor delights and think this Savannah wedding is at the top of its class. Photographed by Shannon Christopher and designed by Morgan Gallo Events, this is a Southern ode to wedding perfection and there is so much more where these images came from in the good ol’ gallery.
Amanda is a teacher and Joey is a Sheriff. They reside in Gainesville, Florida and were engaged New Year’s Eve. They are a very laid back couple that wanted to focus on family, closest friends and a southern vintage theme that reflected what the area stood for. The couple wanted everything to feel and look intimate. They incorporated long tables that flanked the garden and both sides of the dance floor. For the ceremony décor, we used old wooden crates and stacked green apples in them with hydrangeas overflowing with ivy. In the trees we hung iron balls full of flowers and peacock feathers. The stairs were lined with lanterns and a swag of baby’s breath on each railing. For the reception décor, we focused around the beautiful Lenox vases that served as the inspiration for the tables. Candles of varying heights were stacked in between while filament lighting, lots of tapper candles of varying heights and elegant chandeliers set the mood.
For place cards we used baggage tags that had each guest departing from their city they came from to Savannah and were displayed in old luggage. Old coke crates were used to place notes, memories and advice to the couple. Savannah Bee Honey and an Oak Tree Cookie cutter were given as favors were placed in muslin bags and stamped with a quote and peacock feather for each guest.
