It’s easy to see why guests of this wedding traveled all over the world to be part of the elegant, week-long Californian affair captured by Wildflowers Photography. I would happily do the same for an event with scrumptious food by the girl & the fig CATERS! and to die for floral design by Atelier Joya. It’s a tease just looking at the gorgeous images, but at least it allows us to dream of such a splendid week-long affair – and hey, it’s Friday, so we have that going for us. To keep the dream alive, be sure to check out the gallery for more.

From the talent behind the lens, Joy of Wildflower Photography – The wedding location was AMAZING (held at Lancaster Estate Winery in Healdsburg). First off, Emily and Morgan love to have fun and seeing that most of their guests would be traveling from quite a distance to be there (many from London, Wales, New York, Los Angeles) so they wanted to make the wedding into a week long event! It was basically like a week of fun summer camp for grown ups followed by the party (wedding) of the year (or century). The whole thing was out of a dream… thousands of lovely flowers arranged in antique vases, teacups, sterling silver platters, crystal chandeliers hanging from above and vineyards for miles. The whole night wrapped up with everyone dancing until the wee hours of the morning in the wine caves at the estate.
Emily and Morgan are both in finance, live in London, wanted a California wedding. They chose to be married in the area that Emily spend as a child on summer vacations, and have all of the guests stay in those cottages on the Russion River. Emily and Morgan both loved BLING! so the decor had to incorporate both elegance and sophistication, plus bling and sparkle. They wanted an elegant tent, so I chose Zephyr tents, and we added some fun chandeliers and a very cool, flashy gobo light pattern that felt like a little BLING! The site was quite complex in thr set up and movement of all the guests, so we had constant shuttles available to move everyone on the event day (set up was 3 day all said). Food was also a priority- local, fresh, and beautiful presentation. For dinner music and dancing in the tent, they chose Ever- a great jazz band from Berkeley. They love to dance, so they chose a deejay friend from London and flew him out. He played in the caves of the winery, which we turned into a mock Las Vegas nightclub including a cigar bar (they danced until 2 am). Style- they are both very into fashion, and loved the whole fashion-shoot preliminary part of the wedding…..with each other, wedding party, etc.
