San Francisco Wedding by Delbarr Moradi Photography

We are just about to pack it up for the evening after a delightful day of  features but we have one last wedding to share with you and it is sure to tide you over until we meet again tomorrow. Sent to us by Delbarr Moradi Photography, these nuptials rocked it out in one of my all time favorite cities, San Francisco. There is something about this spot is so romantic and so utterly perfect for a wedding and who doesn’t love a seaside soiree? The views alone are reason enough and paired with this beautifully styled event, we have a complete home run on our hands. You can find more of this gorgeous day in the gallery.

From the Bride…

Being an avid SMP reader, ideas for my wedding day vision was collected over months & months of perusing beautiful pictures and reading super sweet love stories online…all done before the engagement happened! How I was able not to scare my husband away with my obsessive, er, frequent wedding blog reads remains a mystery. Fresh from DIY postings, I wanted to do everything myself! I had grandiose ideas of one huge elegant but warm and inviting (love lace) wedding with DIY details on EVERYTHING. Cake? I wanted to enlist my cousin who bakes all the family birthday cakes. Flowers? I can buy those and then show off my new found skill of flower arranging after watching a brief YouTube tutorial. Suffice to say, when planning a wedding in your home town, when you live out of town, makes DIY everything not as simple as I anticipated. I was able to pull off the bits that I really wanted with the a lot of help with a lot of family and friends. I liked the idea of using paper as decor, so we (and by we I mean my Aunt and niece) generously labored over paper tissue flowers and secured them into styrofoam board wrapped in tissue paper used as center pieces. The table runners were actually wrapping paper bought in bulk from PaperMart.com. I used paper elsewhere on the candy bar, name cards, seating chart etc. My invitations and photography were all done by a personal friend who happens to be amazing at both, Delbarr Mordai! I bought my dress from a store that sells sample dresses and got my bridesmaid dresses at a BCBG outlet… My bridesmaid gifts (necklaces) and my own bracelet were all made by a bridesmaid herself (Alix Bogehold) who happens to be starting her own line! Everything was pulled together at the end because of one woman, Sally Steele. If you do go the DIY direction, a last minute semi splurge on a day of wedding coordinator can really spare your Uncle from stringing lights or placing candles himself! Everything that I didn’t anticipate, she did..
