I am completely smitten with this next wedding from For You Love Me. There were so many little surprises from the pattern of the table runners to the silhouettes on the frisbees (all handmade, of course). But what really pulls at my heartstrings is the ceremony. There is just something about a Quaker ceremony that is so intimate and heartwarming. “…we did almost everything ourselves — and in only 3 months at that. The whole event was very intimate and casual — no bridal party, no officiant. The ceremony was a full hour, and most of our friends and family participated on the fly. My now husband and I really thought of the whole affair as a chance for us to throw a party for all the people who had brought us together, so most of our planning was guided by that ideal.”

“The ceremony was a very meaningful Quaker-inspired ceremony within a circle of trees with 75 close friends and family. From there everyone migrated to a lovely hour of cocktails/appetizers with the soundtrack of three friends playing bluegrass tunes. Then was a beautiful reception in a little tent that seemed straight out of a fairytale with its waving flags and lantern lit ceiling. Flowers from a nearby farm filled the room with color. Each guest received a Field Notes pocket notebook with their names imprinted as well as a frisbee with the couples cameo (Nick and Sasha met playing frisbee at school). Instead of cake, they had the groom’s mom’s homemade pies and ice cream and sorbet. They danced the evening away to brilliant tunes. They and their closest friends all stayed the nite at the farm.”
