From Ashley Garmon…

Cyndi and Trae are the quintessential Austin couple. They embody everything about Austin – from football to food. Their friends were expecting great things from their wedding…and I am thrilled to say they were not disappointed! The couple wanted a vintage and whimsical feel to their fete so they chose Vista West Ranch for its charm . . . not to mention its fabulous beer garten! A color palette of blush, magenta, ivory, bronze jade and espresso was chosen, and it was ideal for the setting.A color palette of blush, magenta, ivory, bronze jade and espresso was chosen, and it was ideal for the setting. Cyndi was simply stunning in her wedding garb. A true vision from her head to her toes (seriously – the most fabulous wedding shoes ever). This girl has STYLE, and so does her man! Trae looked dashing in his suit. The tie he chose was perfect for the wedding. They looked like the couple that comes in your picture frames!

Cyndi and Trae wed outside, in front of the wooded arbor that was enhanced with colorful floral. An acoustic guitarist played contemporary pieces, including Cyndi’s bridal processional, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”. The chairs were adorned with vintage lace chair ties to add a special detail. Cyndi was all about the details! The couple’s pup – Colbie – was my favorite detail – what a sweet girl. She did great for all her photos and was a true champ. Guests then headed to the beer garten where they dined on Tex-Mex fare and drank raspberry-flavored mojitos with fanciful straws, as well as sweet tea and vodka with monogrammed stirrers. A cigar roller was brought in as Cyndi’s surprise gift to Trae and he LOVED it. Espresso floral linens complemented the barn in the backdrop. The guitarist continued to play and it was the perfect Austin atmosphere. Time for dinner, but not before they picked up their seating assignment – which was on a pinwheel!!! Cyndi LOVED her DIY projects, and this was one of my favorites. The pinwheels were in different papers that matched the look of the wedding so it created an eclectic, one-of-a-kind display. Guests then entered the barn to find their seats and were wowed with so many unique touches. All tables were named after different Austin locales that meant something to the couple. There was an illustration to accompany each table name. The wedding cake was so elegant and sweet at the same time – light pink delicate scroll work on white buttercream, and the cutest bird topper ever! Trae had a UT-themed cake of course! With the large T matching his college ring exactly. Then the couple’s monogram, done in moss, was hanging on the balcony and adorned with muslin flowers to match the muslin wedding date banner that hung below.

The linen choice was bronze jade taffeta, which gave a warm glow to the room with a touch of color. We added lace runners that complemented the treatment on the dark wood chairs. LOVE THIS LOOK! Centerpieces were housed in mercury glass vases and contained a grouping of full and romantic blush and ivory blooms – literally the perfect touch to the gorgeous tablescape. Each place setting had a note for the guest thanking them for coming and a sweet message from the newlyweds! Flip the note over and it revealed a menu that was to die for. Cyndi and Trae’s top priority for the reception was having the 80s tribute band – LC Rocks – perform at their reception. It was a blast. The dance floor was always packed, as was the stage as the band allowed guests to get up and perform with them – FUN! Monogrammed 80s sunglasses were passed out and everyone went wild for a pair. The fun did not end there. A photo booth was on site and kept everyone entertained until the last minutes of the night. Guests were given homemade cotton candy on rock candy sticks as a parting favor, as well as “TEAM SCHULTZ” koozies. Then the guests sent the couple off in a blaze of glory with sparklers. Cyndi and Trae didn’t want the party to end, so they hopped on a Party Bus with their wedding party and celebrated all the way back to Austin.
