Central Coast Wedding By Sarah Yates Photography

We are over the moon, head over heels excited about this wedding photographed by Jack Wittbold for Sarah Yates Photography.  It’s no secret that we have a mega crush on all things that Sarah shoots, and this wedding, shot exclusively by Jack (Sarah’s to die for darling assistant) is no exception.  We’ve had our eye on Jack for a while, holding our breath to see what magic he would produce and he has exceeded all expectations.  In fact, Jack may have even taken our breath away with all this sunshine-y glorious goodness.  Truthfully, we’d like to move in and take up residence in this wedding.  Yarn, haystacks, wildflowers and typewriters?  We dare say, it just doesn’t get any better.  So hurry up and feast your eyes on all this pretty in the gallery.  This may be our favorite to date.  XO, Tori & Myka

And as if the photos weren’t enough eye candy , their gorgeous wedding video shot by Artisan Production is visual magic.

From the bride:

I was inspired by my love of all things vintage and as soon as I got engaged I turned my home office into an inspiration ROOM.  I had started with an inspiration board but quickly grew out of that. I work for Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic Couture and was so lucky to be able to hand select vintage props from our store in Santa Monica with Rachel. I was also able to walk through our office and collect “tat” as Rachel says.  Old vintage lace, silk, ribbons, velvets and wedding cake toppers were surrounding me. My co-worker Angie made my hairpiece with vintage fabric and flowers we found around the office. Justin and I had late nights Goccoing with my best friend and I designing away.  We printed our Save the dates, Invitations and RSVP’s with our Gocco machine. Manila tags, a vintage typewriter and twine were our inspirations.  For those that don’t have a Gocco machine yet i recommend buying one immediately!  We addressed all our envelopes using a vintage typewriter i purchased at thrift store in Santa Barbara. The clicking sound of the keys kept us laughing for hours. You could hear it through the entire house! Two days before the wedding I went shopping at the LA Flower Mart and drove all my amazing finds back to my office. All my co-workers joined me around our design table and helped me create dreamy, soft and sumptuous flower arrangements. Lamb’s ear, eucalyptus and cabbage flowers were my must haves.  Such a great way to have my Shabby family helping me create my vision. I drove the flowers and vintage props to the Barn the next day in a large rented truck.

I had all my bridesmaids meet me early in my hotel suite the morning of and we frosted my wedding cake (made by one of my bridesmaids), poured champagne and each made our own flower bouquet. I had buckets of flowers all around to pull from. We wrapped the stems in vintage lace that was my grandmother’s. This was such special touch for me- I wish she could have been there. The gorgeous fields of yellow and purple hills formed the perfect backdrop of our big moment. The Dana Powers Barn provided the simple, rustic and elegant setting we were looking for.  We had all our friends and family meet us early at the Barn the morning of the wedding to help us set up.  Hours before the wedding my uncles and cousins were tying eucalyptus strands on the back of each white chair with strips of white, cotton fabric. Then they headed over to embellish the rusted arch with more eucalyptus. I wanted the arch to blend in with the amazing background. It did just this.  They also got to sample our signature cocktails while decorating… Grey hounds anyone? One of my favorite parts of the day was sneaking away during dinner with our photographer, Jack, to play on the hay bales. He captured some amazing moments.  I climbed up to the very top with heels and a wedding dress! What a thrill. Justin, my husband (insert giggle here), wrote the text for out ceremony and we each wrote our own personal vows – and our great friend Ted was kind enough to officiate.  In an unforgettable moment- we forgot to bring the candles out for the planned candle-lighting part of the ceremony but it did not matter! The roar of laughter on our wedding video and images of surprise on my face are priceless. In all it was a tremendous day – so filled with love, memories and beauty. I want to do it all over again i had such a good time!

Thanks for sharing your stunning day with us!
