From Tana Photography…
This sweet DIY wedding was held at a small winery in Southern Idaho. The bride, Katarzyna (Katie) is a printmaker/artist and the groom, Dave, is a front man for a local rock band. The bride brought all of the elements together herself for this intimate event for 75 guests. She spent a year preparing the décor and hand crafting many of the items herself. They are a perfectly fitted couple, each one so supportive of the other’s form of art. Katarzyna made her wedding invitations out of her own hand colored etching, as the backdrop, which guests could keep and frame. Including the vintage sheet music she used to line the envelopes, the cost was less than $60 for 60 invitations.
She had been collecting materials for her décor throughout the year for the handmade paper flowers on the tables, the fabric hair flowers for the bridesmaids, fabric flowers on her shoes, flower rings, corsages, boutonnières and spent under $50. Dave’s boutonnieres is part guitar string. Katarzyna sells handmade fabric flower adornments on Etsy at Twigs For Pearls.
