From the Bride...
We decided on a barn setting as they have so much character and we wanted to create an informal atmosphere. The Pheasantry attached to the barn had amazing hops hanging from the rafters and as the Irish musicians merrily played next to the log burner during the evening, you would have been mistaken for thinking we were in a local Irish pub in the hills of Donegal.
On the tables we placed art deco style photo frames (from Marks & Spencer) which displayed our wedding breakfast menu. Napkins were tied with 'To have and to hold' ribbon from Cox & Cox. Craft knife at the ready, I set to work to make the table plan using a vintage-framed mirror bought in antique shop in Clapham Junction. And outside on the lawn area overlooking a field of cows, we dotted silver night lanterns around trees and kept out guests entertained with croquet and boules.
