So full disclosure: I am totally partial to this wedding because the beautiful bride is wearing the same dress I happily skipped down the aisle in last year. Cute, right? But besides my favorite frock making an appearance at these woodsy nuptials, there also happens to be the most perfect whimsical touches designed by Leis Events, the brightest, cheeriest florals all put together by the masterminds behind Lani Elizabeth and a setting that can’t be beat. A gorgeous wedding in the middle of the Santa Cruz Mountains…I don’t think it gets much cooler. Jen and Alon desired a fun and funky “Wedding in the Woods” at the beautiful Nestldown, tucked away in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The couple came to us with a desire for bright and fresh yellow florals to pair with their vivid color palette already in place through their fabulous stationery suite (think Bart Simpson stamps on aqua envelopes). After hearing about Jen’s super cute retro inspired dress, Lani and I immediately knew that we had to dig out our vintage milk glass collection! From goblets and candy dishes, juice cups and more, each table was truly unique. We also mixed in some simple IKEA bud vases so the guests could take home some of the flowers and the end of the evening. Throw in some spray painted books for elevation and yellow gerbera daisies, and voila! Instant sunshine and cheer at each guest table. It was a wonderful wedding to be a part of, and Celeste of Danielle Gillett Photography did an amazing job capturing this playful couple and the truly charming spirit of the entire event.
