I have a little secret to share…I am totally and completely in love with reading people’s wedding stories. How they met, those special moments they remember throughout the day, their first dance as husband and wife – you name it, I devour it. And mostly it is because of weddings like this heart-felt day captured by Jenny Lindsey. The bride and groom founded and run an AMAZING organization and this is how they met and fell in love. What big hearts these two have and you can tell by the joyous celebration they had with friends and family. See the full day jam-packed with DIY and a whole lot of love right here.

Ilea and Jared founded and run the African based company Keza, which takes women in deep poverty and gives them opportunity, a job and a new life by empowering them to create amazing works of fashion. They met in California at the beginning stages of the company and instantly knew that being together in this business would most likely mean being together themselves. They both took a chance and ended up falling in love half a world away.
To celebrate with their American family and friends they held their backyard African themed wedding on the beautiful property of Jared’s dad’s Franklin TN home. Having a truly DIY wedding, they had everyone help with the decorating and feel of their day. Good friends prepared the menu, while others arranged flowers and decor. Every moment from beginning to end was about togetherness and community. The result was an intimate gathering of people pouring out their love on Jared and Ilea. Absolutely beautiful!
