Ballroom on Broughton ~ Savannah Wedding By Allison Reisz

Bianca and Ramon fell in love with Savannah ~ as so many of you know, it’s a charming, charming city! They decided that it would be the perfect spot for their destination wedding and were fortunate enough to find the Ballroom on Broughton to say their “I Do’s” …

Sent to us by their amazing LBB photographer, Allison Reisz. Both Allison and Bianca have described the day beautifully ~ so we’re just going to let them take the mike!

from Allison … Bianca and Ramon have been together for a very long time, and this wedding was a long time coming for both them, and their families. Bianca and her girls started the day getting ready in a large suite at the Hyatt in Savannah. The ladies took time to enjoy the morning and enjoyed all being together to celebrate in this momentous day! As Bianca finally slipped into her amazing Kenneth Pool gown, the excitement grew. Ramon could not wait for Bianca to walk down the aisle and finally become his wife.

Their beautiful ceremony was dripping with white flowers, and candles lined the main isle, giving The Ballroom on Broughton such an intimate, romantic feel. After the ceremony guests enjoyed a cocktail hour in the ballroom. Family and friends where trollied to the historic Trustees Garden. Here Tricia and her team transformed the Morris Center into a decadent and lavish space, with deep red flower centerpieces, and candelabras. Red table runners, and chargers, adorned with rose petals were laid out perfectly on every table. It was everything Bianca and Ramon had wanted. Everyone partied late into the night, in celebration of these two! Bianca and Ramon are two people that are crazy in love with one another, each others best friend, and most of all are just plain silly and know how to have a good time!

from beautiful Bianca …

Ramon and I have been together for over seven years and knew we wanted to celebrate our wedding in a special way with plenty of family and friends. When we stepped foot in Savannah ten months before our wedding day, we knew it was the place for us. The historic, southern charm of downtown and the warm hospitality were the driving factors for our choice. For our ceremony location, we chose the beautiful Ballroom on Broughton. It was a newly renovated loft space in the middle of downtown with beautiful chandeliers and oak hardwood floors. We had the honor of hosting its very first wedding. The ballroom felt very intimate but was large enough for our two hundred and fifty guests! Our ceremony floral arrangements were to die for ~ consisting of only white and beige flowers to maintain the regal look of the ballroom. The hanging orchids at the altar were whimsical and added just the right touch to the room.

Th Charles H. Morris Center was the ideal location for our reception. The exposed brick, along with the beautiful hardwood floors provided the perfect mix between a modern and historical feel. We wanted a place where our guests would feel completely at home to dance and enjoy the night.  Along with the beautiful interior of the Morris Center, the floral arrangements were a great contrast to the ceremony decor providing a bold blast of color. We wanted our guests to enter the reception and just fall in a sea of color. The dark burgundy and coral arrangements along with the candelabras kept with our regal theme. Our wedding was everything we hoped for and the vendors in Savannah, especially our planner Tricia Huddas and our team of photographers at Allison Reisz Photography, made our destination wedding a complete success!
