Joy and Travis wanted a day that spoke about their commitment to each other and to their families. Joy’s grew up in a large family that was very connected to food and gardening, so she thought it was perfect to have an outdoor wedding with an herb theme. All the colors of the day were greens and browns complimenting their beautiful venue and amazing herbs picked for the wedding. Their table’s were named after different herbs, and Joy’s mother put together all the bouquets including mint and other herbs to make the flowers smell amazing! Handfuls of fresh herbs were placed on the napkins of each of the tables along side their favors which were small glass bottles of a unique salt and herb rub that their bridal party put together. The wine was all provided by Travis’ winemaker father who had a vintage 1978 bottle of wine he had saved since Travis was born to be specifically opened for his wedding. Their affair was put together mainly by family members with DIY flair.
