Pie Bars are fast becoming my favorite wedding trend. What’s not to love? Tons of delicious pies all lined up for guests to munch on to their hearts content. Genius is what that is. And along with a yummy pie bar, we also have an equally fabulous slice of rustic heaven with this wedding set in Devils Thumb Ranch, Colorado. The photography by Brinton Studios? Perfection. The event design by Peekay Soirees? Beyond. The flowers by Pick Me Floral and Event Design? The cherry on top. The whole thing is absolutely breathtaking and there is even more to be found in the gallery.

From Kara of Pick Me Floral:
Kelly and Kevin’s June wedding at Devils Thumb Ranch was absolute Colorado perfection. This gorgeous couple has traveled the world together – living in Central America as well as the States. So for their stunning destination Colorado Ranch wedding – we even got to throw in a nod to their love of Nicaragua (complete with a parade led by a donkey named Flash). We held the Ketubah signing in a field behind the cabins on the Ranch – on a rustic ranch table, of course!
Every detail was personal and hand made for Kelly and Kevin. Kelly (an Indiana native) loved the fact that the 1860’s Broad Axe Barn at Devils Thumb Ranch was moved from Indiana. Burlap squares on the table were covered with Indiana blue antique ball jars filled with soft fluffy flowers (peonies, garden roses and lisianthus – just to name a few) in shades of pink, cream, peach and coral. Twinkle lights hung from the beams and large muslin curtains adorned the enormous barn doors. Instead of seating cards, salvage windows were used as a master seating chart. And instead of a traditional wedding cake – Kelly and Kevin had homemade pies from Teacup Bakery. Their first dance was on the deck as the bluegrass musicians played. Surrounded by their friends and family – it is hard to imagine that it was actually getting quite chilly outside. And the guests danced all night to the sounds of Mr Take It Easy!
And a few words from the Bride:
It was burrrrrr, cold, but very warm inside (both literally and figuratively). The glow of the candles, fire in the fireplace, twinkle lights above, and oh the yummy food. Wrapped in an alpaca shawl from Bolivia, surrounded by friends and family, and snuggled by my best friend and now husband, Kevin… I couldn’t have asked for a warmer day. One of my favorite memories was when I was standing at the altar, and I looked up (down the aisle) to see you, the wrangler, Flash, the donkey, and Paige holding 40 helium balloons! ha! It was a sight for only Kevin and I to see, as everyone else was looking at us! Thank you for making that happen.
