From the Bride:
We met through a mutual friend and old roommate of mine which had been a high school friend of Kevin’s. The night we met we were put on the same team in trivial pursuit and were AWFUL at it. But, we knew that night that we had met our match. Kevin is a chef and the winner of 4 culinary medals and was an apprentice to the 2008 U.S Olympic team in Germany. I have been an artist all my life and was recently accepted into design school in San Francisco. So, clearly we are both in careers of passion, aesthetics, and hard work which made for a good team in life and in wedding planning.
From Meg Perotti:
Megan and Kevin’s inspiration came from a few different places. Megan has a love for anything vintage, especially fabrics. So, it was clear that fabrics were going to be used as a central theme throughout. Another source of inspiration came from Megan and Kevin’s love of farm life, fresh organic produce, and sustainability. This inspired such things as the Farm table style head table, Strauss milk bottles filled with flowers, and the farm style/vintage dessert table. Another theme was vintage typewriter theme: the welcome table with the vintage type writer and Megan and Kevins names spelled out in old letters, and Kevins vintage typewriter key cuff links. There is something so sincere about the idea of classic typewritten letters and the idea of old fashioned methods of communication. The last source of inspiration came from their love of french culture, food and music. This is what inspired the theme “La Vie En Rose” which adorned many of the paper products such as programs, drink labels, and parasol basket signs! The head table had vintage french signs, french sugar tins with flowers and little french touches can be seen here and there throughout the wedding decor. They also thought it would be fun to incorporate a live french acoustic band to tie it all together.
